Many just like that do witness in DGH .
DGH during lapsed period is asked for mainly to see the non-payment of premium due to any ill health in the angle of insurer.
Many agents ask the LA to sign on dated lines,without asking for any details .
Then agent fillup with stereo type putting Yes or No.
Things to know by agents When ever revived with the DGH,the Date Of Risk be shifted to Date Of Revival I.e.EARLY DEATH CLAIM of 3 years will start from the date of revival.
By chance if LA dies during this period and in investigation if any adverse is found, which not mentioned in DGH,claim will be repudiated. Not alone repudiation, the agent will also be asked to give explanation adverseas he/she witnessed in DGH.
Points to be noted Guide LA to disclose and reveal all truth.
Blindly don't witness unknown .
But as an agent you have service & social responsibility to help the LIC policy holder.
So ask for any I.D.proof .
After satisfying with ID,
guide them properly to fill up DGH and then get the LA signature.
Then you witness and write the details of ID proof varified These are all precautions.
